Charles E. McCollam, 79, of Lewisport, passed away on Friday, January 5, 2018 at Oakwood Health Campus, Tell City. He was born on September 10, 1938 in Lewisport to the late James David and Ethel Alexander McCollam. Charles was a member at Hilldale United Methodist Church and was retired from Dal-Tile in Lewisport. He enjoyed fishing, camping and was a member of Daviess County Fish and Game for over 20 years. Charles was preceded in death by his first wife, Brenda McCollam; a son, Charles Dewayne McCollam; a grandson, Brandon Scott Roberts; brothers, Billy McCollam and John McCollam.
Survivors include his wife, Rose M. Estes-McCollam; a daughter, Carole F. (Jackie) Roberts; a son, Steven Todd (Laura) McCollam; 3 grandchildren, Jacob (Meghan) Roberts, Josh Roberts and Keaton McCollam; great grandson, Brandon David Roberts; step children, Ray (Deanna) Estes, Georgia McFarling, Frank (Clara) Estes, Roger (Vickie) Estes, Dan (Sheila) Estes and Martil Basham along with many step grandchildren and step great grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at Gibson & Son Funeral Home, Lewisport with burial following in Lewisport Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 3 pm until 7 pm and on Wednesday from 9 am until service time at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
