Zackery Allen Martin, 25, of Hawesville went to be with the Lord on October 16, 2025 at Owensboro Health Region Hospital. He loved spending time with his girlfriend of eight years Taylar Shultz and loved their fur baby Maci.
Zack is the son of Wayne Martin and Chasity (Michael) Potts. His siblings were some of his best friends, Courtney Taylor Estes and Tyler Dewayne Martin. His surviving grandparents Rick Martin (Connie) and Wayne and Teresa Payne. He was preceded in death by his grandmother Donna Martin. His Uncles were Brian Martin and Nick (Fallin) Payne. He was a proud Uncle to Eli, Ella and Hudson McCoy and several cousins which he loved Dearly.
Whether it was planning trips to the pumpkin patch or simply Planning family breakfast, Zackery keep his family laughing with his quick wit. He was a joy to be around and was the biggest UK fan you ever met.
He worked at Waupaca and was most proud of being a Firefighter. He was a member of Dukes Volunteer Fire Department (532). His fellow firemen were like family to him.
Services are at 1:00 pm Tuesday October 21, 2025 at Gibson & Son Funeral Home, Hawesville Chapel with burial following in Blackford Baptist Church Cemetery. Zackery’s family will greet friends from 10:00 am until service time at the Funeral Home. Zackery’s family request all donations be made to Dukes Vol Fire Department.
