William “Bill” Wettstain, 82, of Tell City, IN went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday October 5, 2023 at The Waters of Huntingburg in Huntingburg, IN. Bill was born on January 10, 1941 in Chambers, Ky to the late H C and Louise Davies Wettstain. Bill was Co-Owner of Bill and Dave’s Smokin Pit, loved working, retired from Big Rivers, enjoyed all sports but UK sports the most and Nascar. He was preceded in death by a sister Ann Gaston and a brother Ray Wettstain.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years Doris Ammons Wettstain; a son David (Joan) Wettstain; two grandchildren Chris and Katy (Jamie) McIntosh; four great grandchildren Madelyn, Jacob, Mia and Emma; a sister-in-law Fay Wettstain and a niece Robin Barna.
Bill’s family will have a visitation on Monday October 9, 2023 at Gibson & Son Funeral Home, Hawesville from 3:00pm until 7:00 pm with burial in Serenity Hills at a later date. Bill’s wishes were that donations be made to your church or any food bank.
