William “Bill” Edward Moad, 90, of Hawesville, passed away on January 23, 2024 at Heartland Villa in Lewisport. He was born in Cloverport, KY on January 5, 1934 to the late Horace and Nellie Ricketts Moad. Bill was a member of Mt. Eden Baptist Church, where he served on several committees and in 2005 went on a mission trip to assist with Hurricane Katrina cleanup and rebuilding. He was retired from National Southwire Aluminum where he was a Pot Line Operator. Bill enjoyed woodworking but most of all, he cherished time with his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, C.W. Moad, Russell Moad and Tolphus Moad.
Bill is survived by his wife of 60 years, Billie Faye Moad; sisters, Nillie Pugh and Martha Embry Perkins; sister-in-law, Jean Estes along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 1 pm on Saturday, January 27, 2024 at Mt. Eden Baptist Church. Bill’s family will be greeting friends on Saturday at Mt. Eden Baptist Church from 10 am until 1 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mt. Eden Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
