Velma E. Wheatley, 94, of Hawesville, passed away on Wednesday, December 4, 2024 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born in Perry County, In on January 14, 1930 to the late Louie and Goldie Harbaville. Velma was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and was retired from General Electric. She enjoyed swimming, dancing and being a homemaker. Velma was preceded in death by her husband, Adrian Wheatley; son, Gerald Wheatley and several siblings.
Velma is survived by her son, Robert (Neita Jo) Wheatley; grandchildren, Adria (Bobby) Eubanks and Amelia (Eric) Laster great grandchildren, Brady, Zakery, Hattie and Maggie; sister, Sue Hanloh; brothers, Ronnie Harbaville.
