Thomas Frazier Emmick, 72, of Lewisport, passed away on Wednesday, May 6, 2026 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born in Owensboro on August 22, 1953 to the late James and Nelda Lamar Emmick. Tommy was a member of Lewisport Methodist Church and was an electrician. He enjoyed spending time with family, farming, boating, UK basketball and Milwaukee Brewers baseball. Tommy served as Hancock County Little League President and coached his sons for several years and was a former FFA President during his time at Hancock County High School. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Brent Cahal.
Tommy is survived by his sons, Matt (Carri) Emmick, Andrew Emmick and James (Kendra) Emmick; grandchildren, Rylee (Tanner) Singleton, Laynee Emmick, Kynsee Emmick and Avary Emmick; great grandson, Truett Singleton; siblings, Hughlene Cahal, Jamie Emmick and David (Rosemary) Emmick along with several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 1 pm on Saturday, May 9, 2026 at Gibson & Son Funeral Home, Lewisport Chapel with burial following in Lewisport Cemetery. Tommy’s family will be greeting friends on Saturday at the funeral home from 10 am until time of service.
