Terry Neal Lamar, 80, of Hawesville, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, January 9, 2024 at the Heartford House. He was born on June 3, 1943 to the late Richard C. and Buelah Lamar. Terry was retired from the Paper Mill, loved working on the family farm and was a member of Hawesville Baptist Church. Terry enjoyed watching UK basketball, westerns and Dr. Pol. He also loved spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Barbara Lamar; siblings, Aileen Adkins, Iantha Gaynor, Barbara Moore and Rickey Lamar.
Terry is survived by his children, Kelley (Bobby) Richardson and Karin (Charlie) Haines; sons, Kevin (Stephanie) Lamar and Keith Lamar; grandchildren, Jonathan Lamar, Lauren (Derrick) Napier, Alexa (Kyle) Osborne, Chase (Alvion) Haines, Danica (Jeremy) Bullock, Tyler Lamar, Corey Richardson, Charley (Josh) Hardin and Chandler (Addie) Haines; great grandchildren, Ellis Napier, Kiya Napier, Zadie Napier, Piper Osborne and one on the way; sister, Eloise Edwards along with many nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 11 am on Friday, January 12, 2024 at Hawesville Baptist Church with burial following in Serenity Hills. Terry’s family will be greeting friends on Thursday, January 11, 2024 from 3 pm until 7 pm at Gibson & Son Funeral Home, Hawesville Chapel and on Friday from 9 am until service time at the Church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Heartford House.
