Terry G. Carter

Terry G. Carter, 72, of Hawesville, passed away on January 2, 2025 at his home.  He was born in Owensboro on September 9, 1952 to the late William and Mary Stallings Carter.  Terry had worked for the City of Hawesville and was a former member of Hawesville Volunteer Fire Department.  He enjoyed NASCAR, farming, caring for his critters and working on old cars.  He was preceded in death by his siblings, Freddie Carter, Francis Bailey and Pamela McIntyre.

Terry is survived by his daughters, Rebecca Moss and Amanda Carter; sister, Vicki (Toby) Gray; granddaughter, Ashley; 3 great grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, January 8, 2025 at Gibson & Son Funeral Home, Hawesville Chapel, with burial in Serenity hills at a later date.  Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 9 am until service time at the funeral home.
