Shelia K. Adkins, 77, of Hawesville, passed away on Saturday, August 17, 2024 at Chautauqua Health and Rehab.  She was born in Hancock County on May 19, 1947 to the late Tommy and Eloise Bates Powers.  Shelia was a member of Union Baptist Church and was retired from Bill’s IGA.  She enjoyed playing the slots, quilting, gardening and flowers.  Shelia was preceded in death by her husband, Kenzel Adkins.

Shelia is survived by her children, Devera Adkins and Trena (Holli) Adkins; grandchildren, Trevin Fullenwider, Toby Talley and Levi Tally; siblings, Joann Cheek, Linda Anderson, Bud Powers and Ricky Powers along with several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 1 pm on Tuesday, August 20, 2024 at Gibson & Son Funeral Home, Hawesville Chapel with burial following in Serenity Hills.  Visitation will be held on Tuesday at the funeral home from 10 am until service time.
