Sharon Ann (Wheet) Pate

Sharon Ann Pate, 72, of Hawesville, passed away on Wednesday, October 22, 2025 at her home.  She was born in Hawesville, KY on August 30, 1953 to the late Russell and Virginia Alsip Wheet.  Sharon enjoyed camping, decorating for holidays and loved spending time with her family.  She was preceded in death by a daughter, Buffy Lynn Pate.

Sharon is survived by her husband of 55 years, Larry Pate; son, Chris (Deborah) Pate; daughter, Chanda (Scott) Poole; grandchildren, Taylor Pate (Logan) Bryant, Garret (El’Agance) Pate, Grace Pate, Nathan Poole, Waydon Poole and Landis Pate; great-grandchildren, Jordan Bryant and Jett Bryant; brother, Eddie (Donna) Wheet along with several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, October 25, 2025 at Gibson & Son Funeral Home, Hawesville Chapel with burial following in Serenity Hills.  Sharon’s family will be greeting friends on Friday, October 24th from 4 pm until 7 pm and on Saturday from 11 am until time of service.
