Russell David Rearden

Russell David Rearden, 95, of Hawesville passed away peacefully on his birthday, October 24, 2023, at Wellington Parc, under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky.  Russell was born in Hawesville, KY on October 24, 1928, the son of the late Hubert and Floella Voyles Rearden.  Russell retired from Tell City Chair Company and was a member and former deacon of Mt Eden Baptist Church.  Russell was a veteran of the U S Army, serving his country during the Korean War.

Along with his parents, Russell was preceded in death by his wife Bonita Rearden; siblings Audrey Swihart, Elizabeth Stephens, H. C. Rearden and Carl Rearden.

Suvivors include three daughters Darla (Alton) Logsdon, Rhonda (Don) Adkins and Tammy (Michael) Sturgeon; a grandson Kyle (Shelly) Daugherty; two great grandchildren Declan and Scarlett Daugherty; a sister Nina Wettstain and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm Friday, October 27 at Gibson & Son Funeral Home, Hawesville Chapel.  A private burial will follow at Mt Eden Baptist Church Cemetery.  Russell’s family will greet friends on Friday from 10:00am until service time.  Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Western Kentucky.  Online condolences may be left for Russell’s family at www.gibsonandsonfh.com.
