Rose Mary Hinton Harris, 80, of Hawesville, passed away peacefully on July 1, 2025 at Brickyard Healthcare in Tell City. She was born in Hardinsburg, Ky on June 7, 1945 to the late Robert and Margaret Alexander Hinton. Rose Mary was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and was retired from the Hancock County Health Department. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Wally Harris; brothers, Bobby Joe Hinton and David Hinton.
Rose Mary is survived by her daughter, Debbie (Randy) Lindauer; son, Steve Harris; grandchildren, Rayse Harris, Madeline Lindauer and Lily Lindauer; sisters, Phyllis Payne, Elaine (David) Adkins, Carolyn (Everett) Pool, Shirley (Donnie) Basham and Kay (Buddy) Payne; sister in laws, Donna Hinton, Greta Hinton and Ruth Ann Harris along with many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 am on July 7, 2025 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with burial in St. Rose Cemetery. Rose Mary’s family will be greeting friends on Sunday, July 6, 2025 from 3 pm until 7 pm and on Monday, July 7, 2025 from 8 am until 9:30 am at Gibson & Son Funeral Home, Hawesville Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church for masses.
