Robert J. Douglas, Sr., 72, of Hawesville, passed away on February 15, 2025 at his home under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky.  He was born on March 23, 1952 in Tell City, IN to the late Lorrie and Geneva Honeycutt Douglas.  Robert was retired from Century Aluminum and a veteran of the United States Army.  He was a great storyteller, loved telling jokes and enjoyed his homemade wine.  Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Georgia Bourdage; son, Robert Douglas, Jr and a sister, Angela Bartley.

Robert is survived by his siblings, Sue Clark, Rebecca Greulich, Lucinda Douglas, Philip Douglas, Jerome Douglas and Stephen Douglas; several grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

No services will be held at this time.  Gibson & Son Funeral Home has been entrusted with care.
