Rex D Sanders, 77, of Hawesville passed on to his Heavenly Home on October 9, 2025 at Fordsville Nursing and Rehab Center.  Rex was born on October 9, 1948 In Hawesville, KY to the late William Hobert and Janie L Weedman Sanders.  Rex was a member at Pellville Baptist Church, loved cutting firewood, loved working on the farm, hunting and fishing and was a construction worker.

Survivors include two sisters Linda Kay Reed and Sue Ann Hix; two brothers Charles D Sanders and Carroll Sanders; nieces Rebecca Sanders, Terry Lynn Kirtley and Carrie Lynn Smith and a nephew Jimmy Alford.

Services are at 1:00 pm Wednesday October 15, 2025 at Gibson and Son Funeral Home, Hawesville Chapel with burial following in Cornith Baptist Church Cemetery.  Rex’s family will be greeting friends from 11:00 am until service time at the Funeral Home.
