Paulette Rae Johnston, 71, of Hawesville, passed away on Sunday, August 31, 2025 at her home.  She was born in Gary, Indiana on March 26, 1954 to the late Paul and Margaret Gillespie Holloman.  Paulette was previously a Nurse’s Aide at Oakwood Health Campus.  She served her country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and retired as a Sergeant in the Army Reserve.  Paulette enjoyed her cats, gardening and her flowers.  She was preceded in death hy her parents and 3 siblings, Jason Holloman, Paul Holloman, Jr. and Eleanor Holloman.

Survivors include her husband of 39 years, Lawrence Johnston, Jr.; children, Charity Gray, Katrina Miller and Toby Carnes; 4 grandchildren; siblings, Paula Miniard, Tommy Holloman and Timmy Hollowman.

As per Paulette’s wishes, no services will be held, Gibson & Son Funeral Home has been entrusted with care.
