Orville “Doug” Alexander, 79, of Lewisport, passed away on Monday, September 30, 2024 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital.  He was born in Lewisport, KY on July 9, 1945 to the late Ernest and Alice Crutchfield Alexander.  Doug was of the Baptist faith and had worked at Dal-Tile and Tell City Chair Company.  He enjoyed Blues music, watching TV, visiting his brother, Roger, playing poker and the company of his poker buddies.  Doug was preceded in death by a son, Lee Alexander; sisters, Ann Laslie and Loretta Pate.

Survivors include his wife, Gloria Huff Alexander; daughter, Trisha Perry; sons, Richard Alexander and Dean Alexander; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; Step children, Jamie Roberts and Krista Williams; siblings, Sharon (Mike) Glover, Geneva Roberts, Eli Alexander and Roger (Sharon) Alexander along with several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at Noon on Friday, October 4, 2024 at Gibson & Son Funeral Home, Lewisport Chapel with burial at a later date.  Visitation will be held on Friday at the funeral home from 10 until Noon.  Memorial contributions ay be made to Gibson & Son Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
