Lorine Morris Swihart

Lorine Morris Swihart, 88, of Hawesville, passed away on Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at her home surrounded by her family.  She was born in Hancock County on February 11, 1931 to the late Elvie and Katie Dell Morman Morris.  Lorine was a member of Blackford Baptist Church and a homemaker.  She enjoyed her farm, staying busy working it with her husband, Atwood.  Lorine loved spending time with her grandchildren, playing cards and feeding the fish at her lake.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Atwood Swihart; siblings, Louise Voyles, Darline Voyles, Ida B. Swihart, Edna Mae Martin, Cletus Morris, Ralph Morris, Jessie Morris and Wilford Lee Morris.

Survivors include her children Dianna Swihart, Ronald (Carol) Swihart and Sandra (Gary) Conder; seven grandchildren Bobby Clay Bivins, Shannon Conder, Jamie Adkins, Leah Black, Carey Haynes, Cathy Gordon and Cassie Swihart; twelve great grandchildren Kelsey Bivins, John Curtis Bivins, Kaitlyn Black, Landon Black, Aubry Adkins, Austyn Adkins, Laney Adkins, Madison Gordon, Bishop Gordon, Megan Haynes, Brenna Haynes and Evan Haynes; siblings, Eva Dell Spencer, Margie Marie Burgh, Marshall Morris, Wayne Morris and Larry Gene Morris along with several lovely nieces and nephews and a host of friends and neighbors she loved dearly.

Services will be held at 11am on Friday, March 8, 2019 at Blackford Baptist Church with Bro. Duane Morris officiating.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Thursday at Gibson & Son Funeral Home, Hawesville from 3 pm until 8 pm and on Friday at Blackford Baptist Church from 9 am until 11 am.  Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Western Kentucky.
