Lora DeJarnette Obituary

Lora DeJarnette, born on August 6, 1969, entered her heavenly home on November 24, 2025

Lora was a devoted mother, daughter, sister, and friend whose life was marked by her heart, her courage, and her laughter. She had a way of lifting every room she entered. Her laugh was contagious, and her presence was truly enough.

Her heart guided everything she did. In her work she cared for people in all stages of life, serving with tenderness, dignity, and compassion while touching countless lives through her kindness.

Lora was a loving and dedicated mother to Daniel “Clay” Quinn III and Caitlin Quinn Price (Michael Price). She was overjoyed to be welcoming her first two grandsons, who will grow up wrapped in the love and legacy she leaves behind.

Lora was the daughter of the late Gary DeJarnette and of Brenda DeJarnette Roberts (Kenny Roberts), who survive her. She was the granddaughter of Rudd and Mary DeJarnette, as well as Maynard and Martha Shasteen; the great-granddaughter of Viola Mossbarger; and the niece of Mark Shasteen, all of whom preceded her in death.

Her family includes her brother, Brad DeJarnette; her sister, Lisa Snyder (Robby Snyder); her nephew, Phillip Holder; and her niece, Jade Holder.

Lora will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her beauty inside and out, her thoughtfulness, and the way she loved so deeply. Her spirit will live on in the stories and memories shared by all who knew her.

A Memorial Service will be held at 3 PM on Thursday, December 4, 2025, at Union Baptist Church with inurnment to follow at the church cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday at the church from 1 PM until service time. Gibson & Son Funeral Home has been entrusted with care.
