Linda Jane Wimmer, 67, of Lewisport, passed away on Monday, December 1, 2025 at her home.  She was born in Alexandria Bay, NY on October 21, 1958 to the late Peter and Eleanor Aubrey Wimmer.  Linda was preceded in death by her mother and father; husband, Fritz; stepfather, Miguel Pacheco, Jr.
Linda graduated from Greenwich High School in 1976 and also graduated from Paul Smith College of Surveying and Conservation.  She met her husband, Fritz, while they were working as surveyors on pipelines and traveled many miles in a camper going to different jobs.  Together they bought a farm in Indiana and raised Black Angus cattle.  Then they bought a place in Lewisport, KY and she started and operated Wimmer Surveying up until her death.  She was a lifelong member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary in Queensbury, NY and the American Legion Post #490 in Stillwater, NY.  Linda was a loving daughter, granddaughter sister, aunt and friend.  She enjoyed traveling home to New York to visit family.  Linda loved tending to her flowers and berries, being outside and sitting by her pond.
Linda is survived by her sister, Ann (Charlie) Jones; brother, Peter W. (Vicky) Wimmer; nephew, Thomas Peter Quarters (Janine) and their daughter Aubrey; niece, Audra Lynn Quarters (Maxx) and their children, Thomas and Parker; stepmother, Shirley V. Wimmer; 4 step brothers and 3 step sisters.
As per Linda’s wishes, no services will be held and burial will be in Thrasher Cemetery in Lewisport, KY.  Memorial Contributions may be made to the Hancock County Animal Shelter PO Box 580 Hawesville, KY 42348.
