Linda P Coon, 76, of Hawesville, passed on to her Heavenly Home on April 18, 2024 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital with her family by her side.  Linda was born on June 30, 1947 in Hardinsburg, KY to the late Charles and Bertha Frank Poole.  Linda enjoyed cooking and was very good at it, crocheting, spending time with her kids and grandkids, was a caregiver, home barber and playing music. She was preceded in death by a sister Wanda Patterson and four brothers Stevie Poole, Gilbert Ray Poole, Charles Poole, Jr and Daniel Poole.
Survivors include her husband of 39 years Gilbert Coon; two sons Barry (Lena) Poole and Kenny (Rosie) Boling; three grandchildren Amanda Schroder, Barry Poole, Jr and Cody Boling; eight great grandchildren; two sisters Ann Clayton and Berta Rea Poole; a brother L. H. Poole; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services are at 12 noon Monday April 22, 2024 at Gibson and Son Funeral Home, Hawesville Chapel with burial following in Serenity Hills.  Linda’s family will greet friends from 2:00 pm until 6:00 pm Sunday and from 9:00 am until service time at the Funeral Home.
