Kenneth Dean “Hawk” Richardson, 86, of Lewisport, passed away on Saturday, September 21, 2024 at his home under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky. He was born in Hancock County on May 1, 1938 to the late William “Babe” and Mary Linthicum Richardson. Dean was retired from WR Grace, was a lifelong farmer and a veteran of the United States Army. He was a loving husband, father and pawpaw. Dean always placed emphasis on family first and had a love of farming and hunting. He was preceded in death by his son, Brad Richardson; siblings, Bill Richardson, Betty Roberts and Lillian Mae Driskell.
Survivors include his wife, Sally Jenkins Richardson; daughters, Faith (Dan) Bishop and Holly (Jeff) Delaney; grandchildren, Avery, Riley, Devon, Ally, Jaxon and Jaci; great grandson, Kolten Dean; sister, Emily Richardson Newman along with several nieces and nephews.
Dean’s family will be greeting friends on Friday from 4 pm until 7 pm at Gibson & Son Funeral Home, Lewisport Chapel and on Saturday from 9 am until service time at Union Baptist Church. Services will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at Union Baptist Church with burial following in the church cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
