Karen (Vandgrift) Pile

Karen Vandgrift Pile, 69, of Hawesville, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, June 29th, 2026 at her home with her family by her side under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky. 

Born on November 26, 1956 to the late Ellen “Louise” Spencer Vandgrift and James “Pete” Vandgrift.  She was preceded in death by her brothers, Ronald “Buck”, Bobby and James Vandgrift; sister, Myra Vandgrift Duncan.

Karen was a happy member of Hancock Christian Church and a “happy 25-year employee” of Walmart in Tell City, IN.

Survivors include her brothers Gilbert Vandgrift and Donnie Vandgrift and a sister Lisa Vandgrift along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and of course her “Walmart Family”.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at Serenity Hills in Hawesville. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Hospice of Western Kentucky.
