Judith A. Roberts

Judith A. Roberts, 75, of Hawesville, passed away on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital surrounded by her family.  She was born on October 24, 1942 in Owensboro, Ky to the late Ray Claybron and Mary Elizabeth Squires Brown.  She married David Roberts on September 7, 1963.  Judy graduated from Owensboro High School and attended Murray State University.  She retired from South Perry Headstart.

Judy was a member of Homemakers of Hawesville, Mu Gamma Pi and served as secretary of Lion’s Club.  She spent several years with Camp Friendship, hosting many foreign exchange students whose lives she still affects today.

She was an active member of Hawesville United Methodist Church and enjoyed being a member of Primetimers.  Judy’s greatest love was her family and spending time with her children, friends, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Ray Brown, Jr., a son, Mark Claybron Roberts and her husband David, of 54 years.

Judy is survived by her son, Michael (Jill) Roberts; four grandchildren, Tyler (Andrea), Devin (Montana), Kynslee and Nate; seven great grandchildren, Caleb, Emily, Caydin, Issac, Quinn, Athena and Kellan along with several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at Gibson & Son Funeral Home, Hawesville with burial following in Owensboro Memorial Gardens.  Visitation will be held on Monday from 2 pm until 7 pm and from 10 am until service Tuesday at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made to Hawesville United Methodist Church.
