Jeannette Corrinne “Connie” Cambron, 78, of Lewisport, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday November 30, 2021 at Oakwood Health Campus, Tell City, IN. She was born in Spokane, Washington on April 15, 1943 to the late Sidney and Marian Kitt Marlett. Connie was a longtime member of New Chapel United Methodist Church and was a domestic goddess. She was especially proud of her family. Connie always carried a stash of pictures to show everyone she met. She loved her community and was involved in many volunteer positions throughout her life. Connie was well known for writing poetry and wrote for the church newsletter for many years as well had a published book. She loved to read, do puzzle books, quilting and crafts of many types.
Connie was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Frederick Daniel Marlett and a son in law, Brian Shepherd.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Robert Lee Cambron; daughters, Karen (Ricky) Colbert and Diana (Allan) Manaugh; grandsons, RJ (Sue) Simpson and Nick (Meg) Simpson; granddaughters, Wendy (Matt) Massie and Amber (Matthew Shelton) Simpson; step grandsons, Kenny, Kerry and Turner; step granddaughters, Allason and Alivia; great grandsons, Ryan, Jase and Cambron; great granddaughters, Peyton, McKenzie, Allie, Cori, Mollie and Evelyn; step great grandsons, Tucker, Lincoln and Dallas; brother, Joe ( Mona) Marlett; sisters, Tricia (Russ) Huneywell and Sherri Swiger along with dozens of nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at Gibson & Son Funeral Home, Lewisport Chapel. Burial will follow the service in Henderson Cemetery on Lee Henderson Rd. in Lewisport above the CALP Line at Commonwealth Aluminum. Connie’s family will be greeting friends on Monday from 3 pm until 7 pm and on Tuesday from 9 am until service time.
