James "Pete" R. Snyder

James “Pete” Snyder, 88, of Hawesville, KY passed on to his Heavenly Home on Wednesday August 6, 2025 at his home.  Pete was born in Hawesville, KY on July 26, 1937 to the late Oscar and Barbara Riley Snyder.  Pete was an Air Force Veteran, retired from Willamette, was a farmer, loved playing golf and taking care of his cows.  He is preceded in death by a daughter Christine Snyder, a sister Jean Whitfield and five brothers John Snyder, Joe Snyder, Timmy Snyder, Griffin Snyder and Everett Snyder.

Survivors include his wife of thirty-one years, Lois Kiser Snyder; three daughters, Rose Ann Stevens (J R), Barbara Jean Finley and Judith K Cathers (Roy); three sons, Johnnie Snyder (Michele), Pete Snyder (Rhonzla) and Cliff Halley (Kathy); a sister, Bonnie Royalty, three brothers David Snyder (Jo), Phil Snyder (Kathy) and Lawrence Snyder (Charlotte); eleven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, one great greatgrandchild and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services are at 1:00 pm Monday August 11, 2025 at Blackford Baptist Church with burial following in the Church Cemetery.  The family will greet friends from 9:00 am until service time at the Church.
