James E. Lanham Obituary

James E. Lanham, 88, of Lewisport, KY, passed away on Tuesday, November 11, 2025 at Heartland Villa.  He was born in Daviess County, Ky on January 31, 1937 to the late John Raymond and Willie Mae Winkler Lanham.  James was a member of St. Columba Catholic Church, where he served as an alter server and was retired from Commonwealth Aluminum.   He enjoyed and participated with the Senior Citizens Group and love to Barbeque.  James was preceded in death by his siblings, Barbara Payne, Helen Lanham, Theresa Johnson and Betty Peak.


James is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Lillie Ann Lanham; daughter, Monica Adkins; sons, James (Brenda) Lanham, Robert (Lynn) Lanham and Billy (Michelle) Lanham; grandchildren, Heather Bell, Chris Lanham, Alexis Lanham, Jonae White, Dakota Lanham, Ashley Lanham and Julie Adkins; sister, Charsetta Lanham; brother, Joseph P. Lanham along with several nieces and nephews. 


A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1 pm on Friday, November 14, 2025 at St. Columba Catholic Church with Father Terry Devine officiating.  Burial will follow in Lewisport Cemetery.  James’s family will be greeting friends at the church on Friday from 10 am until service time.  Memorial contributions may be made to St. Columba Catholic church in the form of Memorial Masses in James memory.
