George Edward Dean

George Edward Dean, 85, passed on to his Heavenly Home on October 23, 2025 at Sunrise Manor Nursing Home in Hodgenville.  George lived most of his life in Lewisport, Kentucky.  He was a farmer and former Marine.

He graduated from Daviess County High School, Owensboro, Ky and attended University of Kentucky, where he was a member of the Pershing Rifles.  He was a lifelong competitive shooter and a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Luther Dean and Ann Wheeler Dean, his brother, William Stephen Dean and several cousins.

Survivors include his sister-in-law, Mary Ann Dean, Hodgenville, a niece and nephew, Lisa (Jeff) Hansen and Tony (Laura) Hatmaker, their children, and several cousins including Richard Waitman of Lewisport and Carla (Boaz) Robinzon of New Albany, Indiana.

A graveside service will be held at Lewisport Cemetery on Sunday, October 26th at 3:00pm.
