Fay L. Newton, 97, of Hawesville, KY passed on to her Heavenly Home on Tuesday February 24, 2026 at Oakwood Health Campus.  Fay was born on August 12, 1928 in Floral, KY to the late Roy and Allie Jolly Lambert.  Fay was a lifelong member of Blackford Baptist Church and worked as a mail carrier for the Postal Service.  She enjoyed riding horses/mules, quilting and traveling. She was preceded in death by her husbands, W. E. Swihart and Burr Newton; daughter, Pam Rasch; granddaughter, Amy Jones and siblings, Vivian Puckett, Louise DeJarnette, Glen Lambert, Imogene Tindle Grant and Darrell Lambert.

Fay is survived by her children, Peggy (Mark) Jones, Charlotte (Fritz) Speicher, Dennis (Debra) Swihart and Dana (Jerry) Boyken; step sons, Jimmy (Linda) Newton and Stephen Newton; son in law, Mike Rasch; grandchildren, Justin (Nicki) Gay, Andrea Gay, Rachel (Mathew) Ware, Bryce (Isabelle) Jett, Curtis Glenn Jones, Jr., Shelly (Jason) Gerteisen and Cody (Kayla) Veach; 17 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; sister, Norma Shultz along with several nieces and nephews.

 Services will be held at 1 pm on Saturday, February 28, 2026 at Blackford Baptist Church with burial following in the church cemetery.  Visitation will be held at Blackford Baptist Church on Saturday from 10 am until service time.  Memorial contributions may be made to Blackford Baptist Church or Alzheimer’s Association.  Share your memories and condolences with her family at www.gibsonandsonfh.com.
