Evelyn Carol Harper "Mammy," 82, of Lewisport, KY, passed away on Saturday, October 25, 2025. Carol was born in Ohio County, KY, on July 14, 1943, to the late Boyd Augustine Willis and Evaline Williams Taylor. She was of the Catholic faith and a member of St. Columba Catholic Church in Lewisport.
Carol enjoyed playing the piano, singing with her siblings, going to thrift stores, polishing her jewelry, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Carol is survived by four children: Jimmie Harper, Maia McCandless, David (April) Harper, and Annie (Tim) Blan. She also leaves behind seven grandchildren: Seth McCandless, Madison McCandless, Bailee Herbert, Garrett Osborne, Kendall Harper, Cameron Blan, and Katie Blan. Additionally, she is survived by eight great-grandchildren: Brayden McCandless, Kaiden Folds, Easton Folds, Tate Ellis, Myles Herbert, Wells Herbert, Delilah Osborne, and Kohen Fugate.
Carol is also survived by one brother, Buddy (Hilda) Willis, and one sister, Rhonda (Mark) Fulkerson.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 am on Friday, October 31, 2025 at St. Columba Catholic Church in Lewisport. Visitation will be held at the church on Friday from 9 am until service time.
