Eli H. Alexander, 78, of Lewisport, KY, passed away on Sunday, September 28, 2025 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital.  He was born in Lewisport, KY on March 6, 1947 to the late Ernest “Chicken” and Alice Crutchfield Alexander.  Eli was a beloved member of Redemption Place in Lewisport and was a carpenter.  He loved his early morning drive around town, playing cards and woodworking.  Eli will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Portia Alexander; grandson, Mark Alexander; siblings, Ann Laslie, Lorreta Pate and Doug Alexander.

Eli is survived by his sons, Billy Joe Alexander and Gary (Dorothy) Alexander; grandson, Gregory (Natasha) Alexander; sisters, Sharon (Mike) Glover and Geneva Roberts; brother, Roger (Sharon) Alexander along with several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 1 pm on Monday, October 6, 2025 at Redemption Place in Lewisport, KY with burial following in Lewisport Cemetery.  Eli’s family will be greeting friends on Monday at the church from 10 am until service time.  Memorial contributions may be made to Gibson & Son Funeral Home to help offset expenses.
