Donald Lee Bryant

Donald Lee Bryant, 86, of Hawesville, passed away on Sunday, April 12, 2020 at his home under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky.  He was born in Assumption, IL on May 8, 1933 to the late George Hewitt and Amanda Cole Bryant.  Donald was a member of Hawesville United Methodist Church and was a longtime deacon at Lovington Christian Church in Lovington, IL.  He was a veteran of the United States Army serving his country during the Korean War.  Donald was a lifetime member of the AmVets, a Master Mason, a Kentucky Colonel, a member of the United Rubber Workers Union and a St. Louis Cardinals and Kentucky Wildcats fan.  He was preceded in death by his siblings, Leo Ed Bryant, George Hewitt Bryant, Jr., Carl Bryant, Hilda Loetta and Oma Jewell.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Marian Davis Bryant; children, Bill (Connie) Porter, Cynthia (Ron) Denton, Penny (Bob) Hood, Kevin (Karen) Bryant and Donita Bryant; 8 grandchildren; many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; his 4 legged companion, Loucee Lynn Bryant along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.

In compliance with health and safety directives, the funeral arrangements for Mr. Bryant will be private.  Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, www.alz.org.
