David “Dave” Owen Tindle, 65, of Hawesville Ky passed away peacefully at his home June 3, 2025 with family by his side. Born on July 16th, 1959 in Perry County Indiana to the late Lester and Alice Tindle. Dave lived a life full of love for family, service to his country, and passion for the outdoors.

Dave had recently retired from the Hancock County Road Department after years of dedicated work. He proudly served in the National Guard for 16 years, a testament to his commitment to his community and country. A true Kentucky Native, Dave was a die-hard University Of Kentucky Wildcats Basketball fan. He also found joy in hunting, fishing, gardening, and simply being outside surrounded by nature.

Dave is survived by his beloved wife of 32 years, Jeannie Tindle: his sons, Davey (Holly) Tindle, Justin (Marcy) Tindle, and Sean (Rip) Blandford, who also served as his caretaker, brother Mike and sister Donna. He was the proud Grandfather to Faith, Mason, Levi, Tucker, and Roman and is lovingly remembered alongside his late grandson, Owen Tindle.

He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Lester and Alice Tindle, brothers Randy, Allen, Scott and sister Marcia and grandson Owen. Dave leaves behind many nieces, nephews and countless family and friends who will miss his warm presence.

Dave will be remembered by many for the deep love he held for his family, friends, and close coworkers. He had an unwavering loyalty to Kentucky Basketball and a special place in his heart for his cherished 1969 Plymouth Road Runner. His spirit, laughter and stories will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Funeral services will be held at Noon on Friday, June 6, 2025 at Gibson & Son Funeral Home, Hawesville Chapel with burial following in Young-Clark Cemetery.  Dave’s family will be greeting friends on Thursday evening from 4 pm until 8 pm and on Friday morning from 9 am until service time.  Share your memories and condolences with his family at www.gibsonandsonfh.com.
