David Earl Patterson

David Earl Patterson, 69, of Cloverport, passed away on Thursday August 27, 2020 at his home with his family at his side.  He was born in Hancock County on August 10, 1951 to the late David L. Patterson and Mary Agnes Young Tindle.  David worked as a CNA, security guard, truck driver and mechanic.  Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Henry O. Patterson and Joseph W. Patterson and a great granddaughter, Daisy K. Daugherty.

David is survived by his wife of 29 years, Sherrie Patterson; children, Travis (Crystal) Patterson, Brian (Jennifer) Patterson, Jeanie Patterson and David Mathew (Elizabeth) Patterson; step children, Lee Dawson and Amanda (Terry) Allen; 27 grandchildren, 11 grandchildren; siblings, Linda (Terry) Sanders and Robert (Eva) Patterson along with several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, August 29, 2020 at Gibson & Son Funeral Home, Lewisport, 315 Caroline St. Lewisport, KY.  David’s family will be greeting friends from 10 am until service time at the funeral home on Saturday.  Memorial Donations may be made to the family to help cover expenses.  Family and friends shall wear appropriate personal protective masks and practice social distancing as per health and safety guidelines.
