Charles E. Stinnett, 80, of Lewisport, went home to be with the Lord, Monday, December 14, 2020 at home under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky. He was born March 18, 1940 to the late LB and Mildred Snyder Stinnett. Charles was preceded in death a brother and sister-in-law, Jimmy and Anne Stinnett.
Charlie was a family man and retired from Daramic after 45 years of service. He enjoyed working beside his parents on the family farm raising tobacco and taking care of cattle.
Charlie is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Doris Williamson Stinnett; daughter, Yvonne (Jim) Frisch; son Jimmy (Carla) Stinnett; grandson Dustin Vowels; nieces, Shelley (Colby) Doolin and Jamie (Chris) Johnson; two great nieces and two great nephews.
Funeral services will be held 10 am on Thursday, December 17, 2020 at Gibson & Son Funeral Home, Lewisport with burial following in Lewisport Cemetery. Charlie’s family will be greeting friends on Wednesday from 3 pm until 7 pm and on Thursday from 9 am until service time at the Funeral Home. All those attending the visitation and funeral service will wear a mask and social distance in accordance of the governors guidelines. Expressions of Sympathy may be made in the form of donations to Hospice of Western Kentucky; envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
