Charles Ann “Charley” Toll Robards Robertson, 103, went to her new home with the Lord on April 16, 2025 at her home. She was a member of Chestnut Grove Baptist Church. Charley taught Sunday School for 75 years and especially loved her “Charley’s Angels”. She enjoyed traveling and reading as well as making crafts including Christmas ornaments and stitching. Charley became known as the Bingo Queen at One Park Place.
Charley was born in Central City, KY on December 5, 1921 to the late Charles and Ethel Bandy Toll. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by the father of her children and husband, Rev. Warren G. Robards; husband Rev. Gerald Robertson; siblings, Lorene Davis, Wanda Brooks, Mary Jane Owen, Robert F. Toll and Charles E. Toll.
Charley is survived by her daughters, Ann O’Neal, Jayne Booth and Sara Lynn (Bobby) Pate; grandchildren, Adena (David) Helm, Christa (Ed) Denson, Matthew S. Matteson, Thomas (Wendi) Langford, Andrew (Kari) Matteson, Christa (Casper) Keller and Wesley (Holly) Pate; 19 great grandchildren; 8 great-great grandchildren; siblings, Sarah Richardson and Minnie Lou (Tommy) Covington along with several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 1 pm on Monday, April 21, 2025 at Gibson & Son Funeral Home, Lewisport Chapel with burial following in Lewisport Cemetery. Charley’s family will be greeting friends on Monday at the funeral home from 10 am until service time. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Western Kentucky or a charity of choice.
