Charles E. “Steve” Drury, 85, of Lewisport, passed away on Sunday, March 15, 2026 at the Heartford House.  He was born in Owensboro on May 20, 1940 to the late Letcher and Mildred Jolly Drury.  Steve was a member of Lewisport Baptist Church, worked for himself as a brick mason for several years and was a member of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworks Local 4 IN/KY.  He thoroughly enjoyed his work and was well known for his craftmanship.  Steve was also a member of Lewisport Lion’s Club for many years and served as chairman for Hancock County Planning and Zoning.  He was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry.

Steve is survived by his wife of 66 years. Janie Hancock Drury; daughter, Stephanie (Kevin) Lamar; sons, Tommy (Becky) Meisner and Ben Drury; grandchildren, Jonathan Lamar, Lauren (Derrick) Napier, Shelby (Vince) Biller and Lauren (Clay) Baldwin; 7 great grandchildren; siblings, Ray Drewry, Fay Haynes, Janie O’Bryan, Hope Smith, Connie Brazzell, David Drury and Randall Smith along with several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 1 pm on Thursday, March 19m 2026 at Lewisport Baptist Church with burial following in Lewisport Cemetery.  Steve’s Family will be greeting friends on Thursday from 10 am until service time at the church.  His family has requested donations be made in lieu of flowers to the Steve Drury Memorial Scholarship (Checks can be made to Stephanie Lamar), which will be given to a young person who is learning the trade of being a brick mason.
