Charles A. Brickey, 87, of Hawesville passed on to his Heavenly Home on March 5, 2025 at Perry County Memorial Hospital. Charlie was born in Breckinridge County on February 6, 1938 to the late Gabriel Oliver and Flossie Mae McManaway Brickey. Charlie loved to fish, the outdoors, talking to his friends. He was preceded in death by his wife Barbara Goffinet Brickey, a son Timmy Brickey who died on March 2. 2025 and a brother G. W. Brickey.
Suvivors include his daughter Cindy Bickett; a son David Brickey; grandchildren Mark Bickett, Brandi (Jonathan) Benningfield, Jamie (Greg) Held, Jenica Brickey, Kalie (Zach) Wettstain and Candance (Nathan) Jones; great grandchildren Tristan, Emmie, Hadley, Z. J., Cadence and Madalyn along with several nieces and nephews.
Services are at 1:00 pm Tuesday March 11, 2025 at Gibson & Son Funeral Home, Hawesville Chapel with burial following in Mt Calvary Cemetery. Charlie’s family will be greeting friends from 11:00 am until service time.
