Carlis Ray Boling, 88, of Hawesville, KY went to his Heavenly home on Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at the Heartford House.  He was born in Hancock County on July 30, 1935 to the late Jesse and Verona Bulter Boling.  Carlis loved the Lord and was a longtime member of Hawesville Baptist Church.

Carlis farmed and retired from Alumax Aluminum.  After retiring, he enjoyed gardening, yardwork and repairing equipment and small engines for family, friends and neighbors.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Dolores Adkins Boling on April 14, 2022; brother, Norman Boling; sisters, Thelma Brown, Maxine Ashworth, Lowena Boling and two infant sisters.

Carlis is survived by a daughter, Carla Jan (Gary) Carpenter; grandsons, Brent (Michelle) Carpenter and Grant (Kimberly) Carpenter; sister, Arlene Whistle; sister-in-law, Mary Boling; brother-in-law, Ray Adkins; several nieces and nephews and special friends and caregivers, Phillip and Stacy Morris.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 am on Friday, June 21, 2024 at Hawesville Baptist Church with burial following in Serenity Hills.  Carlis’ family will be greeting friends on Friday at the church from 9 am until service time.  Memorial Contributions may be made to Hawesville Baptist Church Building Fund or Sunrise Children Services.
