Bryant Forrester, Jr., 88 of Owensboro Ky went to join his bride in heaven on Tuesday October 9 2018. He resided for 5 years at Owensboro Center Nursing Home. Bryant was born on February 11, 1930 in Whitesville Ky to Bryant Senior and Lillie Mae Swope Forrester. Bryant was a veteran of the Korean War. Was a huge fan of UK Wildcats basketball and loved growing his sunflowers, morning glories and tomatoes.
Bryant was an Employee of Alcoa for many years and owner and operator of Forrester Cemetery Services for over 50 years He was affiliated with many funeral homes in the tri state area.
He was proceeded in death by his parents and his wife of 67 years Wanda Mae Bartlett Forrester, who passed April 16 2018 and baby son Jeffery Scott Forrester, January 20, 1965 and a grandchild Georgie Jordan Forrester in1997.
Bryant was survived by his 5 children, Debbie Stelmach, Ronnie Forrester (Marilyn), Jennifer Newton (Wayne), all of Owensboro, and Rhonda Clouse of Tell City Indiana and Kenneth Forrester (Diane) of Lexington, KY; his 10 grandchildren, Brandon Stelmach, Krystal Ball (Bruce), Amber Noles, Veronica Carvajal, Melissa Newton, Matthew Forrester (Victoria), Sierra Forrester, Brittany Daniels (Kevin), Jamison Clouse, and Lily Forrester; 7 great-grandchildren, William, Isabella, Talon, Maddy, Brayden, Briana, and Dakota; one great-great-grandson, Maverick.
His special friends Jessie Bradley of Fort Branch Indiana and Virgil Vandever of Owensboro Ky. Bryant had many, many wonderful cousins and his great niece Paula Kay Forrester Tarry of Bowling Green, Ky.
Memorial services will be held at a later date. Gibson & Son Funeral Home has been entrusted with care. Burial with his wife will be held on April 13th 2019, what would have been their 68th Wedding Anniversary at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Owensboro.
