Brenda Faye Logsdon, 80, of Lewisport, crossed Jordan into the loving arms of her Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ on Monday, January 26, 2026, at her home under the compassionate care of Hospice of Western Kentucky. She was born in Daviess County, Ky, on September 20, 1945 to the late Clyde and Althea Maas Roberts.
Brenda was a dedicated member of Chestnut Grove Baptist Church for 72 years, Charlie’s Angels Sunday school class and was a farmer’s wife. She was married on November 22, 1962 to the love of her life, Martin “JR” Logsdon and spent 64 wonderful years together. As Jr said, she was the joy of my life and through her devotion, made me a better person.
Brenda was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. A wonderful cook who always had a table full of food, making sure everyone had something they liked. She tried to make everyone she knew loved and to know her was to love her. Through the last 10 hard years of her life with Parkinson’s, she never complained, only saying she didn’t understand why God just wouldn’t take her Home. Brenda was preceded in death by a sister, Connie Simmons.
Survivors include her husband, JR Logsdon; sons, Alton (Darla) Logsdon and Dwayne Logsdon; daughter in law, Amy Logsdon; grandchildren, Kyle (Shelly) Daugherty, Drew (Emily) Logsdon, Joshua (Madison) Logsdon, Daniel (Dominique) Logsdon and Laura (Preston) Parks; Great grandchildren, Declan, Scarlett, Madilyn, Ivory, Elli, James, Jacob and Josiah; brother in law, Bob Simmons; sister in laws, Theresa, Pat, Katherine, Bonnie, Jo and Sonia, friend Mary who all called her sister; special neighbors who were always there for Brenda, David and Mary Castlen and several cousins.
