Bobby H. Vandgrift

Bobby H. Vandgrift, 70, of Hawesville passed away Saturday July 7, 2018 at Heartland Villa with his family by his side.  Bobby was born on September 17, 1947 in Breckinridge County, KY to the late James “Pete” and Ellen Spencer Vandgrift.  Bobby was of the Methodist faith and retired from Down’s Electrical in Nashville, TN.  He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Myra Duncan, a brother Ronald “Buck” Vandgrift, a son Robert Vandgrift and a grandson Justin Gross.

Surviving is his wife of 50 years Joyce Keown Vandgrift; a daughter Dana (Rodney) Gross of Hawesville; a granddaughter Megan Gross of Owensboro; brothers James (Jimmy Lou) Vandgrift of Owensboro, Gilbert (Charlotte) Vandgrift of Hawesville and Donald (Sharon) Vandgrift of Hawesville; sisters Karen Pile of Hawesville and Lisa (Brian) Huff of Ohio and several nieces and nephews.

Services are at 11:00 am Wednesday July 11, 2018 at Gibson & Son Funeral Home, Hawesville with burial following in Serenity Hills.  Bobby’s family will greet friends from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm Tuesday and from 9:00 am until service time Wednesday at the Funeral Home.
