Beverly “Sue” Covetts Allen, 78, of Lewisport, passed away peacefully on December 15, 2025 at the Heartford House in Owensboro, KY.  She was born in Lewisport, Ky on August 6, 1947 to the late Allen and Mary Lewis Sipes Covetts.  Sue was the youngest of 8 in the family and the last one to precede in death, brothers, Billy Covetts and Abbie Covetts, sisters, Betty Voyles, Faye Bittel, Dorothy Emmick, Louise Cohrn and Mary Covetts.

Sue was a lifelong resident of Hancock County and retired from American Olean Tile after 32 years of service.  She also worked for Meals on Wheels, delivering food to the elderly of Hancock County.  Sue worked at Walmart as a cashier and ended up being a greeter for many years.  She was also a true Covetts.  You could hear her a mile away and loved talking, laughing, joking and having her family and friends around her.  Sue always made everyone that she encountered feel special and loved.  She was a HUGE fan of the Kentucky Wildcats (always with her fist up saying “GO CATS”).

Sue is survived be her children, Kim Clark, Sherry (David) Voyles and Kenneth Craig (Bobbi) Clark; grandchildren, Tim (Jessica) Voyles, Krystal (Sam Fredell) Clark, Tiffany (Jesse) Daugherty, Brooke (Daniel) Johnson, Kasey (Deneen) Clark, Hannah Clark, Kyler Clark, Gina Drone and Jaden Drone; great grandchildren, Liam Daugherty, Lily Daugherty, Brysyn Johnson, Harlan Johnson, Lakelynn Johnson, Logan Wathen, Brayden Wathen, Nolan Ashworth, Aiyana Clark, Kaelix Clark, Sabastain Fredell and Addyson Fredell along with several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1 pm on Saturday, December 20, 2025 at Gibson & Son Funeral Home, Lewisport Chapel with burial at a later date in Lewisport Cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Saturday from 10 am until 1 pm at the funeral home.  Memorial Contributions may be made to Hospice of Western Kentucky.
