Wanda Mae Bartlett Forrester

Wanda Mae Bartlett Forrester, 86, of Owensboro, KY, gained her angel wings on Monday, April 16, 2018 at Owensboro Center after a long battle with dementia. Wanda was born on June 11, 1931, in Owensboro, KY. She was the daughter of the late Eva Mae Bartlett and Gleason Bartlett. She graduated from Owensboro Tech High and Midway College. Wanda was a member of Century Christian Church.Wanda was the loving wife of Bryant Forrester. They were married April 13, 1951 and had 67 years of a loving marriage. Wanda enjoyed being with her family, especially her grand babies and friends, reading, writing, taking pictures, and collecting all her little pretty collectables. She loved keeping a journal. And the grand babies called her “Cookie Monster” as she loved cookies. Wanda was preceded in death by her parents Eva and Gleason Bartlett; two brothers, Doug Bartlett and Bobby Bartlett; and a grandchild, Georgie Jordan Forrester.

Wanda is survived by her husband, Bryant Forrester; her 5 children, Deborah Stelmach, Ronnie Forrester (Marilyn), Rhonda Clouse, Jennifer Newton (Wayne), all of Owensboro, and Kenneth Forrester (Diane) of Lexington, KY; her 10 grandchildren, Brandon Stelmach, Krystal Ball (Bruce), Amber Noles, Veronica Carvajal, Melissa Newton, Matthew Forrester (Victoria), Sierra Forrester, Brittany Daniels (Kevin), Jamison Clouse, and Lily Forrester; 7 great-grandchildren, William, Isabella, Talon, Mattie, Brayden, Brianna, and Dakota; one great-great-grandson, Maverick; one sister, Joan Rich (Lonard) of Bowling Green, KY; and a nephew Bert Stinson of Bowling Green, KY.

Memorial services will be held at a later date. Gibson & Son Funeral Home has been entrusted with care.
