Tommie W. McManaway

Tommie W. McManaway, 65, of Hawesville went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday April 16, 2019 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital, surrounded by his family.  Tommie was born on December 8, 1953 in Owensboro to the late Gilbert and Dorothy Newton McManaway.  He was a member at Safe Harbor Christian Fellowship, where he built a pulpit and altar for the church, owned and operated Tom’s Trash Pick Up for 28 years. He was preceded in death by Timothy McManaway, Connie McManaway, Doris McManaway and a half brother Edward McManaway.

Survivors include three sons Jeremy (Carrie) McManaway, Josh (Michelle) McManaway and Nicholas (Genie) McManaway also Matt (Kiersten) Faris, Josh Faris and Amber Faris; 19 grandchildren; three Great grandchildren; four sisters Carolyn Payne, Brenda Hagan, Janice Hale and Betty Mincey and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services are at 11:00 am Saturday April 20, 2019 at Safe Harbor Christian Fellowship in Pellville with burial following in Roseville Cemetery.  Tommie’s family will greet friends from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm Friday at the church and from 9:00 am until service time Saturday at the church.  Tommie’s family has requested all donations be made to Gibson & Son Funeral Home to help with Funeral cost.
