Shelia G. Bozarth Dixon

Shelia G. Bozarth Dixon, 64, of Lewisport, passed away on Friday, June 1, 2018 at Perry County Memorial Hospital.  Shelia was born in Owensboro on September 11, 1953 to Billy Gene and Mary Edith Young Bozarth.  She was of the Baptist faith and retired from Domtar.  Shelia was preceded in death by her father, Billy Gene Bozarth; grandparents, Homer and Cora Bozarth and Hal and Myrtle Young; nephews Jason Deck and Jason Bruce and a niece, Allie Roberts.

Survivors include her husband of 23 years, John Dixon; a daughter, Megan (Chris Jackson) Vanhooser; a son, David Taul; her mother, Mary Edith (Carlos) Newton; 4 grandchildren, Madison Jackson, Christopher Jackson, Camron Jackson and Rylie Moore; a great grandchild, Koda Schroader; sisters, Sherry (Johnny) Roberts, Kristi (Joey) Gogle, Kim (Sandy) Taul and Mary (Bob) Myers ; brothers, Mike (Danita) Bozarth, Jerry (Roxanne) Smith and Jason Smith; step mother, Nancy (Gene) Brune; step daughter, Melissa (Kevin) Sanders along with several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 10 am on Monday, June 4, 2018 in the Taylor Chapel of Gibson & Son Funeral Home, Lewisport with burial following in Serenity Hills, Hawesville.  Visitation will be held on Sunday from 3 pm until 8 pm and Monday from 8 am until service time at the funeral home.  Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Foundation, www.diabetes.org. or the Lupus Foundation of America, www.lupus.org.
