Robert Edwin Bulleit, 77, of Hawesville, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Thursday, March 23, 2017 at the Heartford House.  He was born in Louisville on August 11, 1939, the son of Edwin and Kathryn Habermel Bulleit.  Robert was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and was in the United States Army Reserve.  He was a graduate of Western Kentucky University and a retired insurance and real estate salesman.  He was a devoted father and husband who enjoyed gardening, photography, cooking and taking care of his dogs.  Robert was preceded in death his brother Donald Bulleit.

Robert is survived by his loving wife, Eva Buck Bulleit; a daughter, Kristie (Brian) Niemeier of Riverside, CA; three grandchildren, Anastasia, Lily and Emma Niemeier; other family members include Lynn Bulleit, Bill Buck, Colleen Buck, Donna (John) Fullenwider, Dan (Mary) Buck, Jerry (Mary) Buck, Tom (Teresa) Buck, Lila (V.A.) Proctor and John Habermel along with many nieces, nephews and cousins and his beloved dog, Ginger.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 am on Monday, March 27, 2017 at Immaculate Conception Church with Father Terry Devine officiating.  Burial will be held at 10 am on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Hawesville.  Robert’s family will be greeting friends from 3 pm until 7 pm on Sunday at the funeral home and on Monday from 9 am until 10 am at the church.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Hancock County Animal Shelter or Hospice of Western Kentucky.

Robert’s family is grateful to those who visited and brought food during his illness.  A special thanks to Dr. John Howard and Dr. Dattatraya Prajapati, their staffs and Western Kentucky Hospice for their Compassionate care.
