Rita Peak Obituary

Rita Joan Peak, 83, of Hawesville went to be with her Lord and Savior on November 1, 2018 at St Vincent Hospital in Evansville, IN. She was born on July 2, 1935 in Rockhaven, KY to the late Charles and Allie Osbourne Peak. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, she worked at a knitting company, enjoyed spending time with her family and her cat Millie. She was preceded in death by four children Elizabeth Joan Peak, Joyce Jean Bassett, Rose Marie Keith and Charles Henry Bassett.

Survivors include two daughters Diana (Charles) Tate of West Point, KY and Rita (Alvin) Goatley of Hawesville; a son Leslie (Lisa) Bassett, Maiden, NC; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service was held Saturday November 3, 2018 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. A private family burial will be at a later date. Gibson & Son Funeral Home, Hawesville are handling arrangements.
