On April 26, 2018 at 5:14 pm, Rex Dale (Cowboy) Fulkerson Jr, went peacefully into God’s embrace, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Owensboro on April 5, 1962 to Rex Sr. and Joyce Bennett Fulkerson, who survive him. He attended Hancock County High School and proudly served in the United States Army Reserves. Cowboy was employed by PVS Steel Services and was a truck driver for many years. He was one of the strongest, hardworking men and was adored by his family. His family was his whole life and his grandbabies were the frosting on the cake. He was preceded in death by a special brother in law, Kelly Ryan.
In addition to his parents, those left to mourn his passing are his wife of 30 years, Rhonda Ryan Fulkerson; daughters, Jessica Davidson (Lamar) Green and Elizabeth Fulkerson; sons, Carl “Chip” (Nicole) Davidson, Jerrod (Adrain) Davidson and Nick (Camryn) Fulkerson; grandchildren, Landon, Adilyn, Ava, Abri, Jaxon and Easton; sister, Deanna Edgell along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Memorial Service will be held at 3 pm on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at Gibson & Son Funeral Home, Lewisport. The family will be greeting friends from noon until service time Saturday at the funeral home.
