Phillip D. "Phil" Ayres

Phillip D. “Phil” Ayres, 94 of Tell City, formerly of Hawesville, passed away on May 22, 2019 at Oakwood Health Campus.  He was born in Hawesville on September 8, 1924 to the late Edward K. and Mary Ruth Brown Ayres.  Phil was a farmer.  He was preceded in death by his brothers, Kav, Sam, Graham and Billy Ayres.

He is survived by several nieces and nephews, Mary Lynn Nettle, Deborah Ayres, Samuel Jerry Ayres, Brigette Ayres, Ricky Wayne Ayres and Sherry Datres.

Services will be held at 1 pm on Friday, May 24, 2019 at Gibson & Son Funeral Home, Hawesville with burial following in Serenity Hills.  Bro. Brian Adkins will be officiating.  Visitation will be held from 11 am until service time Friday at the funeral home.
