Peggy Jo McFarling Freeman, 74 of Hawesville passed away suddenly on Friday, the 28th of September at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital, where great care was given by the many doctors and nurses, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts She was born on August 19th, 1944 in Hawesville, Kentucky, to the late Clarence McFarling, and Matilda McFarling. Peggy was of the Baptist Faith, which kept her near to her God!
Peggy was known for many things, she enjoyed game nights with her family, teaching new games to others, she enjoyed cooking meals so large that it would feed an army! She especially loved her garden, and of course her favorite flower was the pink rose, as a matter of fact, anything pink! One of her many hobbies was shopping, and if you knew her well, you knew that she couldn’t pass up a great deal! Above all, she made sure to put others needs before her own. Her legacy will go on through all those lives that she influenced and touched! She loved talking about her grandchildren, in general, she was so very proud of her family!
She is survived by her husband of nearly 57 years, Thomas Clifford Freeman; a daughter, Cindy Jo Pritchard; a son, Jerry Wayne Freeman; Three Grandchildren, Jason Derek Pritchard (Lindsey) Keith William Pritchard (Andrea) and Shelley Jo Pritchard (Matt) Nine Great Grandchildren She is also survived by three sisters, Nellie Sowards, Shirley Kiplinger, and Marie Butler. Proceeded in death were three brothers and two sisters; Joe McFarling, Mike McFarling, Clarence McFarling Jr., Eva Buford, and Betty DeJarnette.
She will be missed by all that knew her, whom had their lives touched by Peggy, who will forever be known as Nannie.
Services are at 11:00 am Monday October 1, 2018 at Gibson & Son Funeral Home, Hawesville with burial following in Serenity Hills. Peggy’s family will greet friends from 3:00 until 8:00 pm Sunday and from 9:00 am until service time Monday.
